September 2. That was the day when Hong Kong’s liberation was guaranteed. It was after few weeks that the Japanese surrendered in Hong Kong, and signed the surrender document today. From what I heard the Japanese envoys boarded the American battleship called Missouri and signed the surrender document there. It took massive atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to sway the Japanese, but even after the bombings some lunatics still wanted to continue the war, and so there were many across the Pacific who still took up on the cause. For the past three years I have seen the Japanese soldiers slaughter and laugh. The Japanese are a cruel race, insane I say. How is it that there were those who still wanted to continue the war? Did these soldiers have no families? Did they not think of their loved ones who might be lying scorched on the ground? I have all the hatred for those despicable Japanese, but I do not understand how even in their devastated state some seek to pursue invasion.

Hong Kong is finally liberated from the Japanese, but it will still be under the British control. The atrocities we have suffered under the Japanese control will continue, starvation will continue because Military Yen we had had turned into worthless sheets of papers when the Japanese surrendered. Just like that. However, the Japanese will be just as crippled and weak as us. They had agreed to an unconditional surrender with previous territorial expansions across the Pacific ceded, and the U.S. strictly curbing their military actions. It is right for Japan, this wild, bloody beast to be tied down and disarmed. It is the price it should pay for leaving an incurable wound on China. Incurable wound on our family...
